Pursuant to Federal Department of Labor these rules are in effect in January but they are delaying enforcement until June 30, 2015.
Home Care workers had been exempt under the companionship exemption but now they wil be:
1. entitled to overtime after 40 hours;
2. compensated for travel time between jobs;
3. compensated when they wake during night to care for their patient.
