Beginning January 1, 2010 CT ConnPACE program will not pay for any drugs not covered by the members Medicare D plan; meaning, drugs not on the formulary, the approved drug list, will not be covered by ConnPACE.

Brand new ConnPACE applicants will be required to apply during the same Medicare D required enrollment period of November 15 to December 31 of each year.
Beginning January 1, 2010, ConnPACE will only pay Medicare D premiums for members who are enrolled in one of the Connecticut approved Medicare D Benchmark Plans. Medicare will pay for additional flu vaccinations if both a seasonal flu vaccine and Swine Flu vaccine are necessary. The antiviral medications effective against swine flu, Tamiflu and relenza, are covered under most Medicare D plans. For updates go to http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/.
